Coronavirus Bulletin
With the current recommendation for social separation, many of my pupils have already decided to pause lessons for the foreseeable future. Many of you will have family who are elderly, work with vulnerable groups or may otherwise be more susceptible to the Covid-19 virus. You must do as you see fit to protect your close family and yourself from infection.
As many of you will know, the Government have cancelled all Theory and practical Driving Tests for a period of 3 months initially. The current advice, however, is that driving lessons may continue.
So, for me this means the following:
- I will be to adhering to social separation advice. I will not be going to any busy or crowded areas.
- I am using hand sanitizer, wipes or hand washing after any contact with any surfaces in public spaces. These will be on hand for any pupils to use if they wish.
- Between lessons, all controls/handles etc. in my tuition car are being wiped down.
For any pupils that wish to continue lessons, I am trusting you to stick to the guidelines on hand-hygiene and social separation. If you are well, and you're happy to do lessons, I am happy to keep teaching. If there is any sign of infection amongst your family, or any close friends, please let me know and we will pause lessons during your isolation period.
For those of you who are continuing, thank you for your support. At the moment, the self-employed are hit particularly hard by this crisis, and many Driving Instructors have already had to cease business for good. I will be looking into any Government support to help me through this drastic downturn in business, but I do hope to keep going, albeit with fewer pupils until we hopefully turn the corner in the coming months.
