Until about 2007 or so, it was usual to publish the routes used on driving tests. Though this practice has now stopped, many of these old test routes can still be found and downloaded in .pdf format. It's important to stress that these are old routes, but they do give an idea of what sort of roads you can expect to be driving on; what the 'mix' is, if you like.
In order to get a better feel for these roads, and what the routes entail - I have plotted and converted to .kml files that will open in Google earth. Do bear in mind that the start and stop points are only approximate!
By the way, I know there are gaps in the sequence. These are all I can source at the moment and are numbered as per the original test routes.
